Know What Each Document Can Prove

The name on a certificate is only the starting point. Its subject, scope and date decide whether it supports your requirement.

ISO 9001 quality management system certificate review

Management System

ISO 9001 applies to the legal subject, site and quality-management scope stated on the certificate. It is not a product test.

OEKO-TEX and FSC document scope review

Material & Packaging

OEKO-TEX and FSC-related files cover named materials, products, organizations or packaging chains. They do not automatically cover every item.

Third-party silk product test report review

Order-Specific Reports

REACH files and reports from SGS, Intertek or BV must be read against the tested material, sample, method, date and result.

Review the Four Document Groups

Use the original file, not a logo alone. For order choices, compare the document with the selected silk or packaging option.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certificate scope review

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

Available files relate to defined materials or products. Check that the selected silk and finished item fall within the stated coverage.

  • Order match: selected silk, weave and momme, dyed or printed surface, and finished product
  • Document check: holder, certificate number, validity, product class and scope
  • Claim limit: use the wording only for the material or product shown
ISO 9001 certificate holder and scope review

ISO 9001

This certificate covers a stated quality-management-system scope. Product approval still depends on the sample, specification and inspection requirements.

  • Certificate check: legal subject, address, standard edition and issuing body
  • Date check: certificate number, issue date and expiry date
  • Use: supplier qualification within the management-system scope
FSC-related packaging document scope review

FSC-Related Packaging

FSC-related files can support eligible paper packaging. The certified subject, chain of custody, material and intended claim must match the order.

  • Holder check: ElaraSilk, the packaging supplier or another named organization
  • Package check: paper or board, box structure, inserts and other components
  • Mark use: confirm the claim and trademark permission before artwork approval
REACH and third-party silk test reports

REACH & Third-Party Reports

REACH files and SGS, Intertek or BV reports may apply to one material, sample, product, substance list, test or inspection—not every order.

  • REACH check: material, product or BOM, substances, document type and date
  • Report check: issuer, number, applicant, sample, method, items and results
  • Order match: compare color, print, finish, SKU, market and buyer requirement

Check Scope Before You Rely on a File

Start with the buyer requirement, then compare it with the current document. This prevents a material report from being applied to the wrong product or order.

01

Define the Evidence

Provide the product, material, market, standard or test, exact claim, quantity, order stage and deadline.

02

Match the Current File

Compare the holder, site, material or sample, scope, dates and result with the stated requirement.

03

Close Any Gap

If the file does not cover the request, agree the sample, method, laboratory, cost, timing and acceptance criteria before proceeding.

Send the Requirement, Not Just a Certificate Name

Include the product, material, market, standard or test, exact claim, order stage and deadline.

No. The selected silk or finished product must fall within the holder, validity, product class and material or product scope shown in the relevant file.
Not by name alone. They are third-party organizations. A relevant report must identify the tested or inspected sample, method, date, items and result scope.
Only when the certified subject, chain of custody, paper or packaging scope, intended claim and trademark permission fit the actual order.
